This sharpener was created to primarily showcase my CAD and 3D Printing abilities. I thought it would be interesting to design a sharpener in the form "Bender" a character derived from the fairly popular animated show Futurama. Removing the figures antenna reveals the pencil slot opening in which it sharpens. The shavings then accumulate in his body that is fitted with a lid that can open to empty out the shavings. I had a lot of fun with this personal project.

Planet Warz is another personal project in collaboration with fellow OCAD Illustrator Victoria Riopka. The concept is essentially a set of 8 figures who embody the characteristics of each of our 8 planets who are all in a constant state of anger fueled by their need to declare themselves as the apex-type planet. Using the knowledge we understand about our solar system, we assigned attributes and characteristics to each planet using those traits to define the look of each one. While Riopka focuses on the look of each planet, I have been focusing on the manufacturing side of things (Sculpting, Moldmaking, Casting, etc.). This project is still in its early stages and is currently still being worked on, but the general direction we intend to have our story go in is in a sort of battle royal amongst the planets. Our target demographic is primarily 6- 12-year-old boys based on some market research that we have conducted

Exactly what the title suggests. I used aluminum wire to construct the framework of the figure and then layered it with clay to sculpt the rest. I Attended a sculpting class where I learned to use cold porcelain; an unfamiliar medium which was I wasn't accustomed too until then. I can't say it is a medium I will continue using, but it was definitely a great experience that taught me a lot.

You hate flossing. There's no point in denying it, its just the reality. Despite the fact you have been advised time and time again about the importance of flossing you most likely are not flossing daily let alone weekly if not at all. Be honest because 37% of patients lie to their dentists about how often they floss. But Why? Why is it that less then half the population of America floss daily, while another 20% only floss when they have something stuck in their teeth and yet another 20% are not flossing at all? How come people find time to brush their teeth but not spare an extra minute to floss? Where does this unexplained stigma behind flossing originate from, but more importantly, why do people loathe flossing? Flossy is a streamlined oral hygiene instrument designed for kids which attempts to answer those questions by tackling this issue at a young age. Primarily a case study; the main focus of this device is to remove any negative preconvived notions on the task of flossing by conceiving a product that removes the "chore" aspect of flossing and transforming into something fun.
